Following the death of photojournalist Royce Mubiru Kakabe, police has started a hunt down for the suspect Percy Nanyondo who is alleged to have caused injuries which led to the death of the journalist. Mubiru died on Wednesday evening at Mulago hospital where he had spent a few days on life supporting machines.

According to our highly placed sources in police, Kakebe had reported an assault case at Kitintale police post on January 19 and on February 15, Percy Nanyondo was arrested but she was later released on February 17 after Kakebe reached a mutual agreement with Percy.

Kakebe is survived by a widow and two beautiful daughters. He will be buried today at his ancestral home in Wakiso District.
