Jack Daniels, a world premium whiskey brand officially launched its presence in Uganda at an event held at the Square Place on Friday.
Revelers were welcomed with a complimentary Jack Daniels cocktail before later being treated to performances from different artistes including, Joseph Sax, The Body of Brian, Martha Smallz and Maurice Kirya.
Maurice Kirya’s performance was the highlight of the evening. He had the crowd singing along to some of his best songs like “Busabala”, “Horses in the Sky” among others and he even dedicated his new song “Insane” to the ladies in the house.
The evening was capped off with thrilling deejay performances from Dj Dash, the dynamic duo Dj RPM and BK and finally Dj Kampire.
The launch in Uganda was one of many global celebrations spearheaded by Jack Daniels International to celebrate 150 years since the brand’s founder, Jack Daniels was born.
Jack Daniels has been on Ugandan shelves for over a decade in a free market with no official importer and distributor. But at the beginning of this year, Jack Daniels International signed a deal with Grays Uganda Limited to make it the official distributor in Uganda.
