Photos: South African rapper AKA shuts down Cayenne

South African rapper AKA sent revellers into a frenzy with an electric performance at Cayenne Restaurant and Lounge in Bukoto on Thursday night.

The exclusive event attracted Kampala’s A-list party people who filled up the Bukoto-based hangout as early as 7pm in anticipation of his performance.

The rap star jumped on stage at exactly 1 am and performed some of his famous hits like “All eyes on me” and “Fela in Versace” as the crowd sang along with different celebrities like Patrick Salvador Idringi using the chance between to try out his luck on the Mic.

The event was part of the rap superstar’s Bohavamia Birthday World Tour following his birthday earlier on Monday, January 28. The tour will see the rapper visit several cities within Africa and the United Arab Emirates for a whirlwind series of fun and entertainment.

The Ugandan version of the private party was organised by Malembe and Johnnie Walker.

Katsha to offer free education to underprivileged children

Education is the key to success, they say. Considering the importance of education in development of society at large, socialite Shafique Katumba alias Katsha De’bank has pledged to offer free education to underprivileged children. Through his charity organisation, The Katsha Foundation, he hopes to change the lives of many Ugandans by playing a role in education development of the vulnerable segment of the society.

According to Katsha, the foundation is actively engaged in a number of charitable projects but the area of education is closer to his heart. He has a dream to see that every child is in school and plans to establish a boarding school where children from down trodden class of the society will be admitted and they will be provided with good education. Those admitted children will not only be educated at the school level but they will be financed and properly looked after till their graduation from the higher education institutes in order to make them a valuable resource for this society.

“We at the Katsha Foundation firmly believe in our motto which clearly stipulates that ‘Educate a Child and Develop a Future Family,'” Katsha noted.

Bad Black congratulates Rema Namakula upon unveiling new man

It is official. Rema Namakula has left her baby daddy and BET award winning artiste, Eddy Kenzo for a new man.

Although Social Media is awash with comments that Rema’s new man Dr. Hamza Ssebunya a medical doctor has another wife, many have come out to congratulate her.

With the wedding slated for November this year, city socialite and Snapchat queen Bad Black has congratulated the songstress and promised to attend the wedding.

Black also promised in a Snapchat post that see will sing her song Mudguard for the bagole come wedding day.

She went ahead to blame Eddy Kenzo for the relationship failure saying that the international Ugandan born star was doing it all for Social Media.

The two have been living separately for some time now. Rema is building her own house in Namugongo which is nearing completion. We will keep you in the know.
