President Museveni was yesterday at Mbarara High school to commission Classroom Blocks, Library, Science and ICT laboratories worth Ugx 3.4bn. While adressing the school community, the president challenged the students to have a purpose in their education.
He said; “I urge students to have a purpose driven education not just speaking other people’s languages.
“And with government programs, education must go to the people. There is a school in every sub county in the country. When we struggle and give you such facilities, then you loiter and get AIDS, we would have struggled in vain to support you.
“I emphasise science and technical education. You need an education that will give you solutions to your problems.”
Later, he visited Mary Hill high school and Nyakayojo secondary school-Mbarara.
