Earlier today at The Kampala Serena Hotel, President Museveni launched the second edition of his famous book called “Sowing the Mustard Seed”. He shared with us some of the photos from the event on Facebook and captioned:
“This morning I launched the second edition of my book ‘Sowing the Mustard Seed’, at Serena hotel-Kampala. I will not talk about our struggle, you will read about it in the book. However I will talk about when I started working on this book. I got the idea from Singliton from UK. They interviewed me for the first edition and I gave them the title. They wrote the book in their own way. About three years ago, I met Gen. Martin Dempsey, the Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff in America, who told me he had read my book. I then re-read and realized I needed to write it myself. So this book is also about the destroyers of English and Runyankole in Uganda. I wanted to bring out a clear story. There is a part in the book about the cultural heritage of the Banyankole which should be documented as old people go away. On this occasion I asked Dr. Rugunda to do the introduction because he was on the committee of five when we were beginning the struggle. I must thank one other person Alison. She came to the bush and captured our bush life moments. I also want to thank Maama Janet because she was always there for our family as I was fighting for the country. Finally I want to thank people of Uganda and people of Africa because they managed to stand up and fight the unnecessary killings”
