RnB singer Maro who is marking 10 years in the music industry has taken the celebration on the road. He kicked off the celebrations with a successful concert at Mestil Hotel on Friday, before heading to Jinja the following day.
Despite being born in Jinja, the self-proclaimed RnB Kyabazinga did not receive the deserved welcome with the show attracting a low turn up. Held at Trans Africa gardens in Jinja town, it was nonetheless a fun-filled experience as Maro gave revelers their money’s worth in a live music showcase that lasted over two hours.
He had revelers dancing and singing along as he performed several of his popular songs that included “Free Style”, “Rising star”, “Mubi Bubi” and “Genda Ewamwe” among others.
Revelers were also entertained by performances from Feffe Bussi and Rocky Giant as well as a plethora of Jinja’s top musicians.
Maro broke onto the music scene in 2010 with his single, Tonelaga on which he collaborated with Mikie Wine and has never looked back. He has over 50 songs to his name and has won multiple awards over the years.
The Jinja show was sponsored by Bell Jamz music, a platform by Bell Lager aimed at shining a spotlight on Ugandan talent.
