The Tokosa Food Festival returned for the fifth edition at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel gardens on Saturday. Despite a heavy downpour early in the day, the event was a success attracting a horde of food lovers who enjoyed the various food offerings on exhibition by different vendors.

While the festival goers indulged their palate on the culinary delights, there were other fun activities going on to light up the day including cook-offs, zumba session and music performances.

Revelers played witness as kids showcased their cooking skills in the junior chef categories while the adults battled for bragging rights in other categories including bachelors and couples with the CEO face-off to top off the cooking challenge.

With the cooking competitions done, the attention shifted to the main stage as music performances now took center-stage. Lilian Mbabazi alongside her band, the Sundowners, was the first act of the evening, stepping on stage shortly after 7pm. She serenaded the crowd with songs like “Obudde”, “Dagala” and “Vitamin” among others.

Her performance was followed by John Blaq who later invited Vinka on stage as they performed their collabo, “sweet love”. Vinka went on to perform several of her other songs like “Malaika”, “Sure” and “My Baibe” among others.

Winnie Nwagi crowned the performances with an energetic showcase as she excited the crowd with her bootylicious dancers.

Dj Stef then took over the stage and kept the party going as revelers left at leisure.

Here are some photos from the event.
