On Thursday 5th August 2021, Australian artist Daniel Aranda teamed up with local artists in Uganda to fend for needy families in the slum off Katanga.
Karole Kasita, Bruno K and Martha Mukisa were all present at the Katanga playgrounds to hand out food items and medical supplies.
Daniel Aranda is not a new name to these particular ghetto dwellers as he has always made it an annual habit to give back to this community.
Ever since his first visit to Kampala in 2017, the artist seems to have fallen in love with the Pearl of Africa. He has now made it a habit to return annually.
He worked with Maurice Kirya and Bruno K in his very first project and will once more team up with the latter in a collabo titled “ Mama Africa.” If you loved the vocals in Daddy Andre and Bruno K’s “ Omuwala” this is definitely another hit to anticipate.
Nakyanzi Rose aka Zoey who happens to be his PR/Personal Assistant says that a lot should be anticipated this time around unlike the recent past. Apart from the anticipated collabos with local artists, Daniel hopes to open up a music label with an aim of helping the young struggling talents in Uganda. It is always better to give than to receive says Zoey.
