Dancehall star Beenie Gunter gave his fans a show to remember on Wednesday evening at Wave Lounge. The “Pon Me” star who was performing in the inaugural edition of the Bell Jamz Listeners Experience series staged a powerful performance that left revelers yearning for more.

Dressed in a bespoke black velvet outfit, Beenie stepped on stage shortly before midnight amid loud cheers from the excited crowd. He kicked off his showcase with a freestyle, before going on to perform some of his popular songs like “Tubaayo”, “Sekkle Down” and “Olina Work” among others.

He performed alongside his band in an interactive show where he gave fans insight into the stories behind some of his biggest hits.

The show was also graced by several other musicians including Navio, Lydia Jazmine, Nina Roz, Eddy Kenzo and John Blaq among others.

Launched last month, the Bell Jamz Listeners Experience is a monthly music series aimed at shining a spotlight on one Ugandan artist through an exclusive, up-close and personal performance for fans.
