One of Maurice Kirya’s fans has been involved in a nasty accident. The fan named Cathy got involved in the accident as most of us were happy enjoying Kirya’s music during the launch of his album recently.
Cathy who was rushing to the launch that took place at The Sound Cup Café at Garden city sustained injuries from the accident.
Although details are sketchy, Cathy is in hospital and recovering from the injuries.
Kirya posted on his page empathising with the fan as he showed his support. “To my fan and friend Cathy, I am sorry you got this accident while trying to make it to my event! I wish you a quick recovery! Everybody help me wish Cathy a quick recovery,” he said.
Kirya released his Mwooyo album towards the end of last month. The event was attended by many of his fans mainly from the female gender. Selfies were the older of the evening as they all looked for an opportunity to take a photo with him. Later in the night, he took to the stage alongside guitarist Myko Ouma.
During his performance, Maurice Kirya sang some songs from his old albums before he dived into the new music. He did Busaabala, Nkulinze and Horses In The Sky as the crowd cheered and danced along. He also released the video to his new song called Never Been Loved after his performance.
