The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has confirmed that artificial turf is going to be installed at the Phillip Omondi stadium in Lugogo, the home of the Uganda Premier League defending champions Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC).

FUFA chief executive officer, Edgar Watson informed the media earlier this week that work for installation will start on 1st April-to-31st June, 2015. Holland based company, Edel Grass was deployed by FIFA to take on the Job.
“FUFA would like to congratulate KCCA for the achievement as this will be the second football artificial turf installed by FIFA in Uganda”, reads Edgar’s statement on the federation’s website.
During the installation period, all activities will be suspended from the stadium with KCCA expected to host all their matches elsewhere.
