A businesswoman hailing from Mbarara District is the second winner of a brand new Toyota Premio vehicle in the ongoing Omo ‘Collect and Win’ promotion.

Speaking during the draw in Mbarara, Grace Nandawula, the Brand Manager for Detergents at Unilver Uganda said that the promotion is aimed at rewarding their loyal customers who love and know the cleaning power of Omo.

Grace Nandawula, the Unilever Marketing Manager for Detergents hands over the keys to a brand new Toyota Premio to Nakakabara Seruganya in Mbarara.

“This promotion is not a lucky draw; rather the person who collects the most Omo Fast Action wrappers wins. The people we are rewarding today are those who are the highest collectors of Omo Fast Action wrappers in Western Uganda,” she explained.

The crowd that had filled the Mbarara bus park, held its breath as the Unilever Uganda sales team picked out envelopes containing names of the top five collectors in the region. As the other winners were rewarded, anxiety and soft murmurs could be heard when the top two collectors were left on the stage, awaiting the big announcement.

Nakakabara Seruganya, a peanut butter trader and a proprietor of a washing bay emerged the top collector of Omo Fast Action wrappers in the Western region and aptly drove off in a brand new Premio vehicle.

An ecstatic Nakakabara could not hide her excitement explaining that she only started collecting Omo Fast Action wrappers after watching the first winner, NabawanukaSaidat drive off in a brand new car.

Nakakabara Seruganya jubilates infront of the brand new Toyota Premio that she won in the ongoing Omo Collect and Win promotion in Mbarara.

“I watched a woman driving away on TV after winning the first Omo Collect and Win vehicle. I immediately vowed that I would also win one of the ten vehicles and began collecting wrappers, buying sachets for the people who work at my washing bay. I am so excited. I do not know how to drive but that is a very small issue as of now,” she said.

Araali Shakira from Fort Portal was the second highest collector and took home a Washing Machine, Mubiru Nicholas; a teacher in Mbarara was given a duvet set. Catherine Nakajiri from Masaka and MaseJuma each walked away with flat irons and ironing boards. They were top five collectors in Western Uganda.

To participate in the Collect and Win promotion, a customer has to collect Omo Fast Action wrappers, put them in an envelope with their details; name and telephone contact and drop them at the nearest collection point country wide.

The entries to the promotion are as thus;

  • 45gm: 15gpacks=1 entry
  • 500gm: 2packs=1 entry
  • 1kg: 1pack=1entry

Unilever Uganda’s Nandawula disclosed that the collectors who did not win the vehicle are still in the race to win one of the Premios in the grand finale due on December 6, 2014 in Kampala.

The promotion will next reward the winner from Eastern Uganda in Jinja on Saturday 29th November and the Northern region in Gulu before the grand finale in Kampala where six vehicles will be given away.

Launched on the backdrop of meticulous research and trials, OMO Fast Action is set to revolutionize the washing experience for Ugandans and has so far delivered maximum consumer satisfaction to all consumers sampled.
