In what seems to be the best news to begin off March with, two of Uganda’s greatest stand-up comedians have put aside their differences and re-united. It seems everyone must be following the example Bebe Cool and Goodlyfe set.
And indeed together we stand, to prove their word, Salvado will be performing at the Laftaz Comedy lounge this Wednesday.
Prince Ehmah could not hide his excitement and he had this to say;
“When I said, last week, that comedy needed to change format in order to resurrect, this is what I meant….that desire to put aside anything and work together for a better, stronger, peaceful comedy industry.
This Wednesday 5th/Mar/2014, Patrick Idringi aka SALVADO will perform at Laftaz Comedy Lounge for the first time in history, as the major act alongside the likes of Dolibondo, Arthur and the entire Laftaz crew backing up. This is just the beginning of the Re-birth of comedy.
Laftaz Lounge (Centenary Park), 10k, 7:00pm, this Wednesday.”
The Stand-up comedians have fallen out into two major camps that had seen comedy in Uganda begin to dig its grave. We can now be certain that after the re-union, Uganda is going to take over Africa just like Lupita is taking over Hollywood. Cheers to Salvado and Prince Ehmah. You’ve set a great example.
