PASTORPRENEUR: How Pastor Yiga Faked Miracle of Man Cured From Blindness

The Born Again Pentecostal Faith has been hit with another big scandal of the year, this time involving Pastor Yiga of Kawaala. The inside story speaks of how Pastor Yiga paraded a one David Ziraba under the names of David Kikomeko and pretended that he was a blind and disabled man. During the healing service, Pastor Yiga asked Kikomeko to choose which miracle to be offered unto him. He chose to be cured from blindness. Pr. Yiga then went ahead to ‘pray’ for the man who instantly got cured and got back his vision.

Now deeper truths have been unraveled that the man was never blind in the first place. Isabel Maria shares a background to this story;

“Me and an Austrian film director Jo Mayer made a documentary on him showcasing his talent as a dancer and the challenges he faces at Makindye and Bat valley theatre. This man is disabled but perfectly able to see. He lives at Kalerwe and has a wife and kids. When I saw this shameful act of pastor Yiga on Bukedde I called up Ziraba and he didn’t deny acting but he answered me; “nina abaana nebizibu byange bwebampa omukisa okufuna ku sente nagutwala” to literally mean “I have children and lots of personal problems, when a money opportunity comes around, I have no option but to grab it.”

Pastor paid him 50000 and ordered people in church to collect money and help this poor lame blind guy he had healed. I was shocked and even posted about this . What is confusing is Bukedde aired this clip yet they were present during the shows of Ziraba when we were shooting our documentary !!! Moses Kasasa do u remember this show in 2011? That is his facebook user name and MTN Uganda has him on record for winning the wheel chair race. Abasumba mweddeko!! In fact I just remembered that Ziraba grew up in Wandegeya at #SalvationArmy. I interviewed the people he grew up with and the lady in charge there. During the launch of our movie on child sacrifice at Silver springs hotel Bugolobi in the NILES DIASPORA FILM FESTIVAL with Fahd Mutumba and NTV, this man along with his band performed and it was showed on NTV LOGIN.”

This is bound to unravel many questions as to why Pastors are willing to go to such levels as far as faking miracles. It is clear that abject poverty will make people believe anything and easily get hypnotized by the new generation of Pastorpreneurs in Uganda.

We bring you earlier photos of Ziraba/Kikomeko playing basketball with a clear vision.

We then also bring you the clip that was aired by Bukedde Television about Pastor Yiga healing the man from his condition of blindness.

For now, being a Pastorpreneur is the new way to go in Uganda and Pastor Yiga is leading that army.
