Renowned gospel artist and preacher, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, has revealed that he made the ultimate sacrifice for his ministry by selling his personal house in Kiwatule to support his church.

Speaking about the incident, Bugembe shared that the church urgently needed Shs1 billion to purchase land for parking space.
Determined to see the project succeed, he sold his house for Shs700 million and contributed the entire amount to the cause.
“Gravity Omutujju found me when I had sold my house in Kiwatule and gave the money to church because the church needed about 1 billion. I sold it for 700 million,” Pastor Bugembe disclosed.
To cover the remaining Shs300 million, the church took out a loan. Bugembe, known for his humility and generous spirit, said that rapper Gravity Omutujju offered him encouragement during what was an emotionally difficult time.
“He told me the Kabaka or the President can’t visit me at my home but can come and visit my church — and in that way, he healed my heart,” Bugembe said.
The gesture highlights Bugembe’s deep commitment to his faith and his community, putting collective progress over personal comfort.
