Renowned city pastor Martin Ssempa has called on popular singer Alien Skin to issue a public apology after the artist imitated Jesus Christ’s crucifixion in a controversial stage performance.
During his concert last week, Alien Skin made a dramatic entrance by appearing on stage tied to a cross while dressed in Jewish-style attire.
He assumed a pose similar to Jesus Christ on the cross, wore a crown on his head, and was seen smoking a stick of marijuana.
This act has sparked widespread condemnation from many Christians, who view it as disrespectful. Among those criticizing the performance is Pastor Martin Ssempa, the head of Makerere Christian Fellowship.
Pastor Ssempa has labeled Alien Skin’s actions as blasphemous and has demanded that the singer apologize to the Christian community within seven days.
As of now, Alien Skin has not publicly responded to the demand.
