Pastor Sempa of Makerere Christian Church has come out to condemn Stanley Ntagali’s act saying he is a Christian leader and therefore should act according to what the church requires.
In a television interview, Pastor Sempa noted that adultery is sin and it should highly be condemned.
“If it is true that he committed that sin, I ask the church to take a deeper step and pray for him because that is the devil doing its work.He is a man of God and I am very sure he had a number of people believing in whatever he taught. I now honestly wonder what his followers are going through. This is however different from Bugingo’s case because Ntagali has admitted and asked God and the church to pardon him. This is a lesson to all church leaders to practice what they preach.” He said
According to a letter dated January 13th,2021 from the Archbishop of the church of Uganda Most. Rev.Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, the retired archbishop was accused of involving in an extra marital affair with a married woman and he(Ntagali), acknowledged. This led to his suspension from all church.
