First rising dancehall artiste, A-Pass, has been signed up by Airtel Uganda on an advertising deal for one year.
The ‘Tulikubigere’ singer has already started doing adverts for the Telecommunications giant. His first gig was to advertise a smartphone that Airtel is pushing out to the cool youths. In the advert, A-Pass is seen with his “mum” whom he gives a present of a phone.
Speaking to us about the deal, the singer exhibited excitement about working with Airtel saying that this is destined to be his best year ever.
“I was given a call asking me if I would love to be the face of Airtel this year and who was I to say no? I took it up and I am sure this will be a good year,” he said.
A-Pass has recorded more than 150 songs and written more than 200 songs. He has shared stages with Jamaican successful talents Konshens and Alaine. He also states that his musical influence is from many genres including dancehall, reggae, Rnb, hip hop and afro-pop from artistes like Michael Jackson, Lucky Dude, UB40 among others.
We will keep you posted.
