Ugandan artists, Pallaso, Winnie Nwagi, John Blaq, B2C, DJ Sick Stuart & Roja have been shortlisted for the MTV Africa Music Awards in the “Listeners’ Choice” category.

The musicians will compete for a slot in the official Listeners’ Choice nominee category by garnering the most votes on social media.

To vote for your favorite artiste, tweet & tag one of the participating radio stations and MTVMamas including the unique artiste hashtag (#‘Artist Name’4MAMA). Voting for the shortlisted candidates closes on 9th January.

Winners from each country will thereafter be added to the official Listeners’ Choice nominee category, which will include 20 finalists who will be voted for by the continent on the MAMA website.

The Listeners’ Choice award is a fan-focused category that gives music lovers across Africa an opportunity to vote for one nominee to represent their country at the MAMAs.

The ultimate winner for the category will be announced at the award ceremony which is slated for 20th February and will be broadcast on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) and MTV Africa (DStv Channel 130).

We will keep you posted.
