Deejay – Artiste clashes seem to go on endlessly. Not so long ago, Bebe Cool launched an all-out online attack on deejays downplaying their relevance in the music industry, and now most recently, musician Nick Nola reportedly beat up a one DJ Roja accusing him of deliberately refusing to play his music.
In the wake of the news that Nick Nola had beaten up a deejay for refusing to play his music, singer Pallaso has come out to apologise to all deejays on behalf of fellow artistes. The Wekoledewo kaki singer stressed that the deejays’ job is to entertain his audience and owes no artiste any obligation to play their music.
He posted on social media;
“Pick a leaf fellow artists as much as you want every body to respect your Job as a musician you should be able to be ready to respect every body Job !!! Being a Dj is one Job we artists need to respect for we need each other in this fast growing industry !! Artists need to stop thinking that the Dj is there to entertain them by playing there music.. NO SIR /MADDAM the Djs Job is to entertain the fans by playing good music and your Job as an artist towards the DJ is supplying good music and trust me it will be played. Im advising all you my fellow artists not to make this mistake and let the DJs do their Job respectfully .. Forcing a Dj to play your song is almost the same thing if reversed like the Dj forcing you to sing a song on stage that makes him happy but bores the fans !! The industry is growing so fast and every career is starting to be considered professional plus to gain respect ya gotta be willing to give it !!! Let the Dj be the Dj !! I wanna apologize on behalf of my fellow artists to the whole entire DJ community all over the world to what happened to the poor DJ Roja…”
