Speaking to the media, Katikkiro Mayiga denied reports that Pallaso had been knighted, saying the Kingdom had not officially given him the title.

This response came after several media outlets and fans referred to Pallaso as “Sir Pallaso” following his appearance at a cultural event.

In reaction, Pallaso said, “That was his opinion, but as far as I know, I was knighted. My engagement with the Kabaka was personal and silent.”

Pallaso, who is known for his deep pride in Buganda culture, did not provide further details about the alleged knighthood but emphasized that his interaction with the Kabaka was private.

The disagreement has sparked debate among fans and cultural followers, with many wondering about the true nature of the singer’s meeting with the Kabaka and whether any titles were officially granted.

So far, the Buganda Kingdom has not issued any formal statement beyond the Katikkiro’s remarks.
