Musician, Pius Mayanja, also known as Pallaso, known for his ‘Wekoledewo Kaki’ song, has left Team No Sleep. We have reliably learnt that the singer who has for a long time been at loggerheads with his manager Jeff Kiwa is nolonger part of TNS.
News on our desk further indicates that Pallaso who had made a name for himself after returning from the diaspora by working with fellow TNS singer, Sheebah Karungi, will have to part ways with the ‘Twesana’ singer since she has chosen to remain under Jeff’s leadership.
Although Pallaso has not come out clearly about why he left the group, our sources have reliably informed us that the beef between him and Jeff has been piling for a long time. Recently he topped it all off when he made up with Radio and Weasel (sworn enemies to Jeff after their bitter fall out months back). Despite Jeff’s several pleas for Pallaso to call off the reunion, he decided to get on with it.
“These two guys were working fine together until Pallaso started growing wings. He was no longer listening to his manager especially after he made a collabo with Davido and made a name for himself. Even when Jeff asked him to refrain from associating himself with Radio and Weasel, he as always, paid a deaf ear to him. I am not surprised that he has kicked him out of Team No Sleep like a ball,” said our source.
Team No Sleep which was originally made up of Pallaso, Sheebah, Bakri and Akay has since disintegrated with Akay and Bakri re-pursuing solo careers. Pallaso and Sheebah the only remaining duo has now been separated too. “I am told that some guys wanted them to perform together at an event, but they refused. Sheebah can’t be seen on the same stage with him now since he is no longer part of TNS,” our source added.
Sheebah has now worked on five songs which she will release and promote soon with the help of his manager, Jeff Kiwa. All this will be done without Pallaso.
