Singer Omulangira Suuna, popularly known as OS Suna, has opened up about his experience at a December 2024 event where General Salim Saleh, the Chief Coordinator of the Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), criticized his music and the conduct of musicians.

Speaking candidly, OS Suna admitted he was upset by the remarks but later took time to reflect. “I got pissed after General Salim Saleh’s submission on my music, and I nearly left that place, but I didn’t. I decided to think through why he made that statement, and I realized that I was wrong to attend the event since I wasn’t invited,” he said.
The controversy stems from OS Suna’s performance of a song he created about Operation Wealth Creation during the event.

General Saleh reportedly found the song inappropriate and used the occasion to express his displeasure with musicians interfering with his work in Gulu district.
He also ordered them to cease such interruptions.
Reflecting on the incident, OS Suna acknowledged General Saleh’s perspective, saying, “I think General Saleh was right to chase away musicians from Gulu.”
This public revelation sheds light on the tension between some Ugandan musicians and Operation Wealth Creation, highlighting the need for clearer communication and collaboration between artists and national initiatives.
