Orlando Pirates defeat URA in CAF confederation Cup

Uganda’s representatives at this year’s CAF Confederations Cup, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) were yesterday condemned to a 2-1 defeat by South Africa giants Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium.

The Tax Collectors fell to Rooi Mahamutsa and substitute Lehnoloholo Majoro’s strikes who gave the Buccaneers a well-deserved lead with a goal in each half respectively. URA’s Peter Lwasa, who was making his second appearance in the CAF Confederation Cup after his first coming against Madagascar’s ASSM Elgeco Plus in Kampala, scored the tax collectors’ only consolation. Lwasa came on as a substitute for Frank Kalanda who missed a couple of chances.

The return will be played in about fortnight in Kampala at Namboole Stadium on the 04th of April 2015.

Starting Line-up: 28.Bwete Brian (GK),13.Sekitto Sam, 17.Massa Simeon(C), 15.Munaaba Allan 5.Senkoomi Sam 21.Deo Othieno, 6.Agaba Oscar, 8.Kyeyune Saidi, 10.Feni Ali Mohamoud, 7.Kalanda Frank and 16.Mugerwa Yasser.

Sub: 29.Luyima Sulait, 14.Nkugwa Elkanah, 25.Ssemakula Noah, 27. Lwasa Peter and 20.Kulaba Jimmy.

Substitutions:

In-Nkugwa Elkanah, Out-Mugerwa Yasser
