One Direction have admitted that they get asked to take down their drunk tweets.
Speaking to Radio 1’s Scott Mills after their performance at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend Glasgow 2014, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne admitted that they enjoyed their Twitter spats.
“I’ve been told to take many down, yeah,” Tomlinson said when asked if he had regretted any drunk tweets or been asked to remove them.
Payne added: “I have a few drunken rants sometimes on Twitter… Yeah they are quite deep. Sometimes I go in hard – it’s not good.
“Then I wake the next morning and it’s like – ahhh, old news.”
Asked when they had been told to take tweets down, Tomlinson said: “Whenever we’ve got into the occasional Twitter row, which back in the day we used to love.”
Payne added: “They are quite enjoyable – a Twitter row.”
Mills joked of the boyband’s former rivals: “It’s a shame The Wanted aren’t around anymore.”
Tomlinson agreed: “Yeah I know, it’s a shame.”
Their bandmate Niall Horan said: “I’m gutted myself.”
Of their love/hate relationship with social media, Payne said: “Sometimes they can be horrible places, with the wrong people on there.
“You tend to notice the bad things on there, but that’s the thing, you have to waiver those out and notice the good things.
“How can we have a hate relationship with social media when it’s made us into this little monster?”
