Arua based side Onduparaka FC who just earned their promotion to the 2016/2017 Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) stunned topflight side Soana FC by 1-0 in the Uganda Cup quarter finals.
In a game played at the GreenLight stadium in Arua, industrious young striker Mohammad Shaban scored the only goal of the game that saw the FUFA Big League side earn their spot at the 2016 semi-finals.
Onduparaka knocked out the defending champions and nine time winners, Sports Club Villa by 4-3 on penalties that followed a goalless draw in normal time at the round of 32 at Nakivubo stadium before thrashing Busia Fisheries 3-0 at the round of 16.
They will now face off with another Big League side, Entebbe FC who knocked out Lweza FC 9-8 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal time in the quarter final round.
