Onduparaka Football Club’s duo, Mohammad Jagason Shaban and Gadafi Gadinho Cypher, have signed three year contracts that will keep them at the Caterpillars’ camp until 2019.
Shaban’s decision to stay at the Green-Light stadium comes as a huge boost for the Arua based club following transfer speculations that were linking the FUFA Big League MVP to giant clubs like SC Villa and Vipers Sports Club that once claimed the ownership of the player.
“We have sorted all issues with Shaban and the club is ready to help him upgrade his education. He is our key player and of course the team needs him for the heavy task ahead. No club would want to lose such a player,” Onduparaka CEO Mr. Anthony Afeti is quoted on ChimpSport.
Shaban scored 13 goals in the FUFA Big League last season to be voted MVP and also netted seven times in the Uganda Cup to see his side reach the finals.
