Arsenal could be without Olivier Giroud for up to three months after the striker reportedly fractured his foot in the weekend draw with Everton.
The Frenchman came off the bench at half-time to help rescue an unlikely point for the Gunners with a last-minute header.
However, a Sylvain Distin clearance in the dying seconds cannoned off Giorud’s leg, leaving the striker writhing in pain, and L’Equipe are now claiming the 27-year-old is facing three months on the sidelines.
Arsenal are reportedly awaiting the results of a second scan before officially confirming the news, but should the diagnosis be long-term, Arsene Wenger may be forced into the market to bolster his forward options before the transfer window closes on September 1.
