Jamaican-American recording artist and songwriter Nyanda Janelle Thorbourne, better known by her stage name Nyanda, has refused to return to Kingston, Jamaica after her Club Mega Fest gig ended.
The star who was part of the now defunct girl group called Brick and Lace seems to be stranded in Uganda after she has been spotted at several social events partying.
The ‘slippery when wet’ singer jetted in the country a week ago for one show but has over lived her stay. She has embarked on collaborating with artistes around Kampala in order to make ends meet while she is in Uganda.
“She has done a song with Leila Kayondo and has been spotted hanging with a top music promoter. We don’t know when she will be going back home but she seems to be in love with the country and doesn’t want to leave this time round. She has just finished shooting her new video with Leila,” the source revealed.
While Lilian Mbabazi was staging her Up Close and Personal concert last Friday, Nyanda was spotted in the crowd. She was later invited to the stage where she did a small performance with Lilian and headed back to her seat.
