Kampala Capital City Football Club players were left in delight as the KCCA Executive Director Jennifer Musisi toured the fully refurbished Phillip Omondi Stadium on Wednesday.
While having a tour around the ground, madam Musisi also had a light chat with the players who were at their usual training session ahead of their season opener against JMC Hippos on Friday 19th at the same venue.
While addressing the players, the KCCA ED said; “I am your number one fan and whenever I am unable to attend our matches, I am always praying for you as you are playing,” as quoted on the club’s Facebook page.
She also pledged more support to the team after being presented with the League and Super Cup trophies. KCCA FC on Sunday edged Vipers SC by 1-0 to win the FUFA Super Cup at Wankulukuku.
Meanwhile, the laying of artificial turf at the Lugogo based stadium was completed early this year and recently pavements, a parking lot and modern trash bins were also set up ahead of the new 2016/2017 season.
