NTV Uganda welcomed back news anchor Gabriel Epunu yesterday. Epenu has been off work for sick leave following a fatal accident where he lost a friend in November last year.
He visited the station yesterday, his workmates were so happy to have him back, they even took a group photo with all staff members and Gabriel in the center.
“Gabriel Epenu paid us a visit earlier today. He is well on his way to full recovery,” read part of the statement on the NTV Uganda Facebook page. We are looking forward to having him on our TV screens again soon.
Gabriel who is also singer Iryn Namubiru’s lover according to close friends, was driving a Toyota Prado (UAN-Q series) with three friends from a party in Kayunga when the accident occurred. Unfortunately, his friend Edgar Were died from the wounds of the accident.
