After eight years of broadcast in Uganda, nation media group owned English TV station, NTV Uganda, will have a sister TV station soon.
Our sources have revealed that a new station called NTV 2 that will broadcast in Luganda will start in March this year. NTV 2 will be Uganda’s second Luganda TV station after Vision Group owned Bukedde TV which has been the leading station in the Central region thanks to their very creative programing.
Our sources further revealed that the new NTV will broadcast to people in Luwero, Jinja, Masaka, Entebbe and Ssese Islands.
The new NTV 2 channel will be screened 24/7. It will predominantly be made up of Ugandan content, though the channel will also include some international programming that has resonance with the local audiences, such as Latin-American telenovelas, translated into Luganda.
We will keep you posted.
