Rita Kanya, a prominent news anchor for NTV Uganda, has announced her departure from the network after five years of dedicated service.
The announcement was made on Friday via her social media, where Kanya expressed her deep gratitude to her viewers and the NTV management for their unwavering support throughout her tenure.
“It’s a bittersweet moment as I reflect on the last five years at NTV Uganda. Above all, I’m filled with gratitude,” Kanya stated on her X account, formerly known as Twitter.
Kanya delivered her final news bulletin on Thursday, May 23, 2024, and sent-off by her colleagues in the newsroom in a glamorous way, marking the end of an impressive chapter in her journalism career.
Throughout her time at NTV Uganda, she became a well-respected figure, known for her professionalism and engaging reporting style.
In her announcement, Kanya also revealed that she would be embarking on a new career path in the coming month, a venture she is excited about and looking forward to.
