Rumours making rounds from the Serena hotel based television station have revealed that the top management is in state of panic over their prime talent search show dubbed “TALENT XP”, after it was allegedly assessed as a “disappointment”.
The show airs at the same time as East Africa’s most popular show Tusker Project Fame, which is in its 6th edition boasting of a greater fan base and viewership. Soccer matches have also tossed talent XP out of favour, forcing NTV to send SMS alerts to the public to watch the show with diminishing viewership.
The show woes, according to critics is blamed on “lack of coherent ideology” that runs it on coupled with a questionable choice of judges.
However, due to investment staked in the show, the station is likely to reschedule the show, which replaced the popular dance competition,”hot steps”.
Talent XP seeks to identify and groom talented singers and dancers, a concept brought to spotlight by the celebrated American Idols show.
