Kampala Central Member of Parliament, Mohammad Nsereko is finally in full control of Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) after acquiring 70% shares of the club, however the monetary value for the shares remains undisclosed.

After a long period of speculation, Nsereko is now the new chairman of the Namboole based club after he was officially introduced to the club during a press conference held at the Sheraton Hotel, Kampala.

A seemingly very excited Mohammad hailed the club’s outgoing chairman, Simon Dubajic for his wonderful contribution to the existence and performance of the club.

“Simon, your contribution for this club has been incomputable and we shall not hesitate to call for your extra support whenever need arises”, Nsereko remarked.

Despite going through a difficult time this season characterized by financial problems, Victoria University who earned their promotion to the top flight of Ugandan soccer in 2012 were last season’s runners up. The Namboole based club were also the champions of the Uganda Cup in 2012/2013.
