Nomination channels for the 4th prestigious HiPipo Music Awards – #HMA2016 have been opened until 15th November when this exercise will be closed. The nomination process is part of a series of decisive activities that are being undertaken between now and January, and will culminate in the 4th HMAs grand finale slated for 30th January, 2016 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
While announcing the nomination kickoff, Innocent Kawooya, CEO HiPipo noted that the 4th edition of HMAs comes at the most appropriate time and will go a long way in further enhancing positive competition and focus on quality in the music industry.
“HiPipo Music Awards 2016 is on. HMA 4th edition is by all means going to be much better than the past editions. Like we have always promised, every year we deliver an event much better than the previous one. Ours is an ascending curve and are not about to stop this. Just like before, we are not here to appease but rather to reward deserving winners. A deserving winner is one that accumulates the highest number of votes as per the voting criteria,” Innocent Kawooya said.
He added; “The Awards theme remains unchanged- The Fans Decide. Like we have always noted, Fans are core stakeholders for the music industry. Their collective investment to the music industry is priceless and must be respected. In the same way, their decisions must be respected and honored.”
