The Buganda Anthem, a symbol of cultural pride and heritage, is set to make waves on the international stage.
Her Royal Highness Sylvia Nagginda, the Nnabagereka of Buganda, has expressed her gratitude to the Ganda Boys for their efforts in promoting the anthem worldwide.
A group of 60 talented Ugandans has been selected to record the anthem in London, UK later this year, marking a significant milestone in preserving and sharing Buganda’s rich cultural legacy.
Her Royal Highness Sylvia Nagginda, known for her dedication to preserving Buganda’s cultural heritage, has extended her heartfelt appreciation to the Ganda Boys in a video that’s been circulating on social media.
“I appreciate the Ganda Boys that have worked so hard to wave the Buganda Flag up high…the Buganda culture stems from so many generations ago and we should keep it that way,” said Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda.
The group, renowned for their musical talent and commitment to promoting Ugandan culture, has been instrumental in spreading the Buganda Anthem across the globe by setting up a healthy competition for different choirs in different countries on who can sing it best.
London, a vibrant multicultural hub, has been chosen as the location for the recording of the Buganda Anthem.
The selected group of 60 Ugandan musicians will bring their passion and talent to the recording, ensuring that the anthem resonates with people from all walks of life. The recording will be sometime this year.
