Musician Nince Henry who is set to release a brand new song dubbed ‘Agabozibozi’ was almost thrown in jail over the weekend.
The singer/songwriter was left in shock after he was surrounded by Police during an upcountry trip. According to sources, the singer had been paid by a promoter to sing back in 2014 in Mubende but never showed up. When the promoter heard that he was in the area for his weekend gig, he tipped off police to arrest him. Lucky for Nince, it was discovered that his former manager had eaten the money after they failed to perform at the show.
“It was his manager who took money in his name for personal use and never told Nince anything. When he was arrested he made a few calls and his manager came to his rescue. He was going to suffer in jail,” the source said.
According to Nince, this was an unfortunate thing that happened because of his Ex-Manager. “The money was paid to my former manager in 2014. We came to perform at 6pm at the venue and by 1 am in the night no one had given us a chance to perform. We went away. Little did I know that my manager had taken the money. So the promoter just called Police when he heard that I was around. They took me in and my current manager sent me money from Kampala to save me from jail,” he told us in a phone interview.
We are glad Nince got out of the mess.
