Uganda’s movie industry is not sleeping, many producers are working tooth and nail to up their game and this can be manifested in the number of films that are produced quarterly.

Over 30 movies are produced in every quarter of the year and this has given a boost to the industry hence increased number of film festivals.

Uganda has about 4 film festivals annually where Ugandan filmmakers get an opportunity to showcase the works of their hands to the consumers and these include Pearl International Film festival, Uganda film festival by UCC and Nile’s Diaspora International Film Festival (NDIFF).

NDIFF is the brainchild of one of the Uganda’s prominent film maker and producer called Phad Mutumba also known for being the brain behind NTV Studio 256 series.

The festival organising committee has put out a call for filmmakers to submit their films before October 20th in order to enable smooth running of the event that is slated to take place from 21st – 28th November this year.
