Nilerz Band, a reggae-dancehall music outfit, is set to launch their debut music album.

Titled “I Need You”, it will be released at an album listening party slated for Friday, February 28th at Monalisa De Boss Lounge in Kisaasi.

According to the band manager and guitarist, Emma Marudi, the album is part of their efforts to go mainstream as they move away from being just a cover band.

“We no longer just want to be a cover band, but a recording band as well.” Marudi told this website recently.

Nilerz Band is a 10-member band and has been doing music for the past 4 years. They have in the past graced different stages in Uganda and Kenya and  also worked with different artistes like Bruno K and John Blaq among others.

The new album features songs like Craze Love, Yoono and Lwalero among others.
