Match day seven of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) was once again a nightmare for army side, Simba and Maroons as they both failed to get their first victories of the season and worse failing to salvage a point.

Simba Sports Club fell to a 1-0 defeat against newly promoted side Jinja Municipal Council Hippos at the Bombo Military stadium.

Central defender Constantine Nalumoso gave the James Odochi-coached side a winner when he scored in the 83rd minute.

The result keeps Morley Byekwaso’s side in the relation zone with just two points from five games while JMC Hippos moved to 8th place with eight points after securing their second victory of the season from the same number of games.

At Luzira Prison Grounds, home side Maroons FC were humiliated 4-1 by Jinja based Bul FC.

On loan striker, Mike Ndera from SC Villa scored a brace while Phillip Ssempira and Paul Kibande were the other two players on the score sheet for the soap and cooking oil manufacturers.

Bul are now in 7th place on the log with eight points from six games while Maroons continue to strongly hold their bottom sit with just a point from five matches.
