Nigerian songstress Yemi Alade has landed in Kampala for the Uganda Entertainment Awards. The “Johnny” hitmaker jetted in aboard Ethiopian Airlines in the wee hours of today morning.
“She arrived in the country today at 3am with a 20-member entourage,” one of the organizers revealed to us.
Yemi Alade who will be performing in Uganda for the first time is very excited about connecting with her fans in Uganda. She previously revealed that she will be in the country not only to thrill fans but also enjoy Uganda’s rich culture.
She will be performing alongside top African stars including Tanzania’s Ali Kiba and Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol. There will also be performances from local artistes including legendary Reggae singer Maddox Sematimba and Dancehall star Ziza Bafana.
Meanwhile, the Uganda Entertainment Awards red carpet will be hosted by South African TV queen Bonang Matheba who is expected to arrive in the country on Thursday.
The award ceremony is slated for Friday, 19th August at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
