Nigerian international Victor Emenayo who features for the 16-time record champions SC Villa stole the show as he netted a brace in his side’s 3-1 victory over Soana last week on Friday.
During the Azam Uganda Premier League fixture between Soana and the Joogos at the Kavumba Recreational Stadium in Wakiso, Emenayo scored twice (in 5th minute and 48th minute) as Villa kept the pressure on table leaders Vipers who had defeated the defending champions KCCA at the Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on the same evening.
Erisa Ssekisambu scored the other goal for the Blues while Misi Katende grabbed Soana’s only consolation of the game.
The victory strengthen Villa in second place on the table with 54 points from 24 games and just two points behind table leaders while KCCA remained third with 50 points from 25 games after losing to Vipers 2-0.
