National Insurance Corporation (NIC) and the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) yesterday put pen to paper on a new deal in which the former beefed up their sponsorship from 660million to 2.04 billion shillings.
“I congratulate Uganda upon the CHAN 2016 qualification. As NIC, we are privileged to work with FUFA and the Uganda Cranes. We are proud of the work you are doing. I wish you success in the forthcoming 2018 World Cup and 2017 AFCON qualifiers,” NIC Managing Director, Bayo Folayan said in congratulatory message to the Cranes before wishing them success in their forthcoming tie against Togo.
“The improved Insurance sponsorship is a manifestation of the good work you are doing. We are mindful of the safety of our players and that is why the health insurance is a key element,” said Bayo as he appreciated the hard work of the local football governing body.
FUFA Vice President Justus Mugisha was available to represent his superior Eng. Moses Magogo. Mugisha applauded the development as the insurance giants continue with their support for many sports disciplines in the country.
“We are proud of NIC for the continued support towards football. Good performance does not come in a short while. It is a long term project. This improved health insurance is a bonus to the players not to be worried of anything as they offer the best services for this country,” Justus Mugisha.
