Nexus Events kicked off their country wide tour of the Jam Fest event last Friday and the first stop was at Mbarara. Dubbed the Mbarara Jam Fest, the event took place at University Inn located in Mbarara town.
The show in Mbarara like any other upcountry shows kicked off late with the revelers coming to the venue abit late but by 9pm, everything was set with VIP already in their seats and ordinary doing the same. By the time the artistes got on stage, the place was full to the brim with the crowd waiting for their favourite artistes to perform. The event had performances from both artistes from Mbarara and those in Kampala.
Singer John Blaq opened the performance session with all his songs from Obudabi, Sweet Love, Tukwatagane, Follow and Do that among others. Other singers from Mbarara came on stage and did their performances; they received much love from the crowd. These artistes included Omega 256 and TPaul both big stars from Mbarara.
Nexus Lounge MC Petre, Selecta Jeff, Dougy Nice and Selector Ryan took the same vibe lounge of their Najjera bar to Mbarara and it excited the crowd. Selector Ryan and Selecta Jeff did the music as Dougy and Petre did the hyping.
Performances then continued from Kataleya and Kandle, Zex Bilanjilanji with the crowning of the night came from two singing Diva’s Vinka and Spice Diana. Before Vinka, Spice Diana came on stage at around 2pm and excited the crowd with her songs like Omusheshe, Body, Onsanula, Ready and Batutadde among others. As usual, she invited some male fans who joined her on stage.
To crown the night, Vinka came and do most of her popular songs closing the evening of performances with one of the crowd’s favourite titled Thank God. After the perfomances, some of the revelers didn’t leave the venue so Selecta Jeff came back on decks and played music until wee hours of Sunday morning.
