Next Media, the holding company for NBS TV, Nile Post and Sanyuka TV among others, has reportedly now added a radio station to the growing media conglomerate.

We have learnt that the media company has acquired 106.1 Jazz FM, an exclusively Jazz radio station in Uganda. Sources have revealed that Next Media boss Kin Kariisa parted with a whopping Ugx 2.5 billion for the radio station.

It is said that the radio station will be officially unveiled in September this year.

Meanwhile, other sources reveal that the radio station had fallen on hard times financially and the buy out comes as a timely relief to the radio owners.
