A new Ugandan movie titled “The Only Son” is set to premiere this Friday (22nd July). The movie will premiere at a red carpet event that will be held at Kampala Serena Hotel.

“The Only Son” is about a lone child (Davis) born in a rich family that is forced to shape his own destiny after his father loses all his property over embezzlement. He relocates to the village, but he can’t manage the village conditions and decides to move back to town. His erstwhile lavish lifestyle in town is now replaced with life on the street as he tries to cope with the new changes in his life.

According to Mulindwa Richard, the movie director, “The Only Son” was inspired by true events of how rich parents recklessly raise their children, and hopes to highlight the negativity of this stigma and how it has affected such kids when they grow up.

The movie features a rich cast of renowned local film actors who include Bobby Tamale(leading actor), veteran actor Michael Wawuyo Snr, celebrated Ebonies’ star Raymond Rushabiro, 2015 best actress Nisha Kalema and new actress on the block Doreen Nabbanja among others.
