Uganda is blessed with a load of talent and we are here to make the stars shine brighter through our unrivaled coverage of the local entertainment scene. Today we introduce Kayce House, a new rapper worth paying due attention.
Who is Kayce House?
I was born and raised in Uganda. I am 19 years old.
When did you start taking music seriously?
I have been writing raps since the age of 13, but really started taking it seriously at 17.
So how has it been for you so far?
In early 2015, I did a music production course at One Origin Records in Nankulabye with my producer at Taste’s studio where I record from as well, and I made and produced my song called “The One” which came out a few months ago.
As a newbie, how have you been received by fellow rappers?
Some have loved my work and I also contributed to the collabo with Flex D’Paper because he liked it and we started talking about a collaboration.
Sounds a good start. What package have you had so far?
I produce as well, though not a lot these days. And at the beginning of this year, I started releasing music, I started with a song called January, and another called “That’s Jus’ Me” and then “Own It” with Flex D’Paper and another called No Deal where I featured a UFO rapper called Klaus.
Kudos. Keep hustling!
