Voices and Beats, a new Ugandan record label and production house has signed their first artiste.
Rising singer Rhizo Pass, real name Joseph Awagwa Omuwa is the first artiste on the label’s roster. He was unveiled on Thursday at the label’s offices located in Makindye as he officially signed his recording contract.
“We are very excited to sign Rhizo Pass. We recognize his talent and even more special is that he is the first artiste to be signed under our label,” said Mr. James ARYAM, the ag. Chairperson Board of Directors. “We hope to work with Rhizo Pass, develop his career and promote his music to international levels.”
Speaking to media, Rhizo Pass could not hide his excitement about his record deal and revealed that this partnership will propel his music career to greater heights.
“I am excited and very grateful to management that decided to sign me under their label,” Rhizo Pass said. “With the backing of a music label, I promise to give my fans a lot more good music going forward. I trust my new team to take my music career to the next level because they are professional and understand the dynamics of our music industry.”
Rhizo Pass has been doing music professionally for a little over a year now and so far has three songs to his name — Nkwataako, Ngulina and Bilowoozo (ft Daddy Andre).
“I fell in love with singing at a tender age because I grew up in a musical family. I used to watch my brothers singing all the time,” Rhizo explained his love for music. “I am happy to be now following my passion.”
Founded in 2019, Voices and Beats is a Ugandan record label that aims to revolutionize Uganda’s entertainment industry through providing professional management to emerging Ugandan talent.
“At Voices and Beats, we want to provide artistes with the tools and resources necessary to create a career out of their music,” noted Gloria Haguma, the label’s Business Development manager.
