Musician Sheebah Karungi has admitted that she was very nervous stepping on stage at the recently concluded MTV Africa Music(MAMA) Awards that were held in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The “Ndiwanjawulo” hitmaker, whose joy was palpable, took centre-stage at the prestigious award ceremony to present an award alongside famous South African designer David Tlale.
They presented an award for the Best Female Artiste which was won by Nigeria’s Yemi Alade, and Best International Artiste which was won by Canadian rapper Drake.
“I was so honored to present the Best Female Artiste award to Yemi Alade with South Africa’s designer David Tlale.” She said, adding; “I was super nervous but Tlale made me feel comfortable before we got on stage.”
Meanwhile, Sheebah Karungi was also a nominee in Video of the Year category for her song “Kisa Kimu” but lost to Congolese singer Youssoupha.
